3MA CDI > CDI (facts)

New setup to measure the ignition timing with a scope

Here the scope shows us that there are only four curves stored in the 3MA CDI
(sadly as I had hoped that there where a couple more)
The movement of the marked point happens when turning at the TPS sensor.

Measured the TPS sensor voltage when its jumping to another curve.
This could be handy if you want to setup the TPS sensor.

Measured voltage between the Blue and Yellow wire. (ignition set on)

Curve
1.25V to 2.00V Curve
1/2 till 1
2.00V to 2.75V Curve
1/4 till 1/2
2.75V to 3.75V Curve
1/8 till 1/4
3.75V to 4.50V Curve
0 till 1/8

Location of the TPS sensor.
Mostly they are a touch out off the middle.
You can check if its correct ones it is mounted by measuring the voltage.

Important, TPS wires facing the cylinder
